The Medical/Dental Recruitment Process
Our medical/dental recruitment process is a comprehensive one ensuring that the best people are attracted and identified for any given medical/dental position. By providing a thorough service, this ensures we are able to source people that will remain in your business long term. Our recruitment process consists of five stages:
- Stage 1 - Creating the Practice Profile
We meet with you at your practice to thoroughly understand your business and its structure - your mission/vision, the people, systems, processes and procedures as well as your long term goals and objectives of the practice. We develop a position description for the medical/dental position and set the position criteria.
- Stage 2 - Sourcing, Researching and Analysing Candidates
To attract the target market for the position, a detailed advertisement is prepared which will elicit desire in a candidate to apply for the position and attract the target market. This is a very important part of our medical/dental recruitment process where we thoroughly research and analyse the suitability of the candidates. Our interview process consists of a detailed analysis of the candidate to ensure that their career plan, goals, personality, skills and experience compliments the culture, goals and objectives of the practice and the core competencies of the role.
- Stage 3 - Assessment of Skills
To verify the accuracy of a candidate's skills and personality, we are able to conduct a series of assessments dependent upon the position e.g. Medical Administration and Reception skills, Accounting, Customer Service, Management, Personality Profile, DISC profiling.
- Stage 4 - Reference Verification
We provide you with a detailed and quality workplace reference relating to the candidate's past work history, duties, experience and performance. The candidate's referee is also given a detailed description of the role they have applied for and the duties and responsibilities contained within the role. This is to ensure the accuracy and quality of the reference, with specific relevance to the role.
- Stage 5 - Performance Management Review & Development
Once the new employee commences in the role, it is important to monitor and evaluate their performance on an ongoing basis, to provide quality feedback and to continue to develop their skills and knowledge within the role. This is valuable to you as an employer as it creates a motivated and enthusiastic employee and enables you to establish effective goals and objectives within the role, which contribute and lead to the overall success of the practice.
Included in our recruitment process is a 12 month's HR/Performance Development programme for the new employee. This allows you as an employer to know that your staff will be receive regular feedback, monitoring, developing and goal setting within the practice. Our programme is structured as follows:-
- 1 Month - Review and evaluation with employee and direct supervisor by telephone
- 2 Months - Review and evaluation with employee and direct supervisor by telephone
- 3 Months - Conduct face to face written Performance Management Review & Development. At this meeting, performance goals and planning for further development are set for the next three month period (KPIs)
- 6, 9 & 12 Months - Conduct face to face written Performance Management Review & Development to review the previous 3 month's performance and success in achievement of goals, as well as setting performance goals and further development for the next three month period.
