Medical Terminology Training
This one day workshop in medical terminology will teach you basic medical terms and knowledge to enable you to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals in a medical practice or hospital setting.
You will also learn more about common medical conditions and diseases. Gain knowledge about the skeletal system, the body organs and their functions.
Course Overview
This workshop includes:-
- Introduction and origins of medical terms
- Learn medical word roots, combining vowels, combining forms
- Create medical terms from word roots
- Discover common medical terms used and their generic equivalents
- Learn medical word roots for colours, numerical and directional and positional terms
- Discover medical emergencies and the associated medical terms
- Learn medical instruments and equipment and their uses
- Learn human body systems and associated terminology
Upon successful completion of assessments, you will receive one unit of competency towards the Certificate II in Business (Medical Reception) BSB20107.
